Throughout history, people have searched to know God. Is He there? Does He speak to us? Is He even a "He"? There are many ideas and schools of thought pertaining to the "Nature" of God. Whatever our backgrounds are, one thing is common to us all: everyone has to come to an understanding of God for themselves.
We believe that God is our Loving Heavenly Father. He is the Father of our Spirits, and as such, we are all (spirit) brothers and sisters (see Romans 8:16). We are created in His image (see Genesis 1:26), and have the potential to become like Him (see Philippians 3:14).
Like any loving Father, God wants to have a relationship with us. Like any relationship we have in our lives, communication is key. We can communicate with God, heart to heart, through prayer.
Questions to ponder:
~Why do we Pray?
~How have you felt the Love of God in your life?
~How can we draw closer to God?
"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden." Christ called us to follow Him, and in the journey we can discover our true selves, potential, and purpose. This blog is a suppliment for our online scripture study class. Please join us for a weekly study in the teachings of the Master.
